I am currently an Associate Researcher on contract with Conifer Research in Chicago conducting ethnographic research for clients in different industries- from health care to consumer electronics. I am always open to discussing a full-time position based in Chicago. If you think I would be a good fit with your company then you can reach me at: aylin [dot] selcukoglu [at] gmail [dot] com. I became a Master of Information, a distinction granted to me by the University of California, Berkeley School of Information where I studied Human-Computer Interaction. They actually granted me a MIMS degree, but really, who even knows what that stands for? Additionally, I was granted a Management of Technology certificate by the Haas School of Business where I focused on product development and open innovation.

My academic work includes a broad range of topics from user research and new product development to information visualization to social uses of information, work that builds upon time spent at both a small usability consulting company and a large software company.

I braved five to six months of winter in the lovely Midwest while earning my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. There, not only did I eat the best apple donuts around, see Guster in concert twice, and experience the first official snow day in 28 years, but I also became interested in Human-Computer Interaction, exploring the field through research with the Social Spaces group.
